A bit about me
Both of my grandmothers were genealogists. When I was 8 years old, they began to infuse me with a love for genealogy. Grandma Ginny, my father's mother, gave me a handwritten book of family genealogy for my birthday. Both grandmothers would tell me stories of their families and engage in conversation with me regarding how to find out more about them. The work was hard and tedious as there was not the incredible resource known as the internet. Hard work was rewarded handsomely with tremendous satisfaction that follows persistence in researching. The genealogical achievement that I am most thankful to have completed, was finding my mother's mother, Grandma Alberta's, father and the two sisters that she never knew she had. It was wonderful to see her be so happy to meet her sisters.
When I grew up, friends began to ask me for assistance with their genealogies. From there my business began. I started helping friends in my 20's. As of August 2012, I have a certificate of completion for the genealogy course at Boston University. Each genealogist is unique with their own set of talents. I have gained experience in research in the US, Europe, and Latin America. My specialty is in assisting Benei Anousim. That said, if you do not find your area of interest in this list, feel free to ask me about it. Genealogists are great at networking. I will gladly assist you if I am able to or refer you to someone who can. I set up this site to be student friendly. I teach a yearly genealogy class for local 5th grade students. It is a simple format is intended to assist in cultivating interest in creating their family trees. Feel free to send me an email. This can be accessed here: Contact. We can then discuss further what your genealogy needs are and come up with a plan to help you find your answers. I look forward to entering the world of your family history with you and finding the treasures hidden there. |
